Tigers Down Dons in Five

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Pacific women's volleyball team defeated San Francisco, 3-2, Tuesday night at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center in San Francisco.

The Tigers have claimed victories in eight of their last nine contests to improve to 10-4, including a 2-0 record in West Coast Conference (WCC) play. USF falls to 4-10, 0-3 in Conference play.

 

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

  • The match was decided by set scores of 21-25, 25-19, 25-17, 23-25, and 15-13.
  • Pacific improves to 5-0 in five-set matches this season.
  • The Tigers hit .371 (17-4-35) and .360 (11-2-25) en route to wins in the third and fifth sets, respectively.
  • Pacific held the edge in kills (73-55), assists (72-50), and digs (91-77).

     

STATISTICALLY SPEAKING

  • As a team the Tigers hit its highest percentage (.266) since Aug. 31 when they hit .287 at UC Davis.
  • Pacific reached a new season high with 72 assists, and nearly surpassed its season highs in kills and digs. 
  • Riley Patterson and Allison Dennemann commanded the outside, combining for 47 of the Tigers 73 kills on the night. Patterson smashed 26 kills and hit .328, while Dennemann totaled 21 kills and hit .333.
  • Defensively, Jadyn Tubbs led four players with double-digit digs. Tubbs collected 25, followed by Dennemann (22), Patterson (17), and Gabby Leo (15).
  • Middle blocker Kennedy Kaminsky had strong showing, hitting .333 (9-2-21), while totaling three block assists.
  • Leo commanded the offense with a season-high 39 assists.
