Stockton, Calif. - Head Volleyball Coach Greg Gibbons has announced the hiring of Jeff Wolf to the Tigers' coaching staff. Wolf will take over the Director of Operations position with the indoor team while becoming Pacific's newest assistant coach for the beach team. Wolf most was most recently at UC Davis where he was a volunteer assistant coach and director of operations.
"We are very excited to add Jeff to our staff," said Gibbons. "He brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and energy to our coaching staff in both indoor and beach volleyball. He further strengthens our staff in areas of data and statistical analysis, volley metrics, and video analysis along with a strong background in beach volleyball. I am excited to welcome Jeff to our coaching staff as we continue to grow and build as a team."
Spending two seasons at UC Davis, Wolf was primarily in charge of all things analytical as he ran the Aggies' DataVolley and DataVideo operations. Wolf was in charge of creating scouting reports and analysis for all of UC Davis' opponents while creating practice plans for the the Aggies. In addition to working at UC Davis, Wolf was was the Developmental Program Director and Coach of the Five Starz Volleyball Club.
As a player, Wolf played at and graduated from Hope International Unviersity in Fullerton, Calif. He would also play one season of post-graduate volleyball at Sacramento State where he was named a NCVF All-American and a NCCVL First Team All-Conference selection. In addition to his indoor career, Wolf has spent time in the sand playing in both the World Series of Beach Volleyball Championships and the Red Bull Spike Beach Volleyball Invitational.
