Bloomington, Ind. - The Tigers were back in the pool for the second day of the Hoosierland Invitational, this time competing in the 100 Back and the 200 Free. The Tigers finished fourth in the 200 Free and won the B group of the 100 Back. The Hoosierland Invitational will begin at 8:00 am tomorrow morning with prelims and at 3:00 pm for the finals.
Georan Meendering swam a 58.79 in the Long Course Meters prelims of the 100 Back, the top time for the Tigers at the Hoosierland. Mitchell Ongstad was next up in the 100 Back with a time of 1:04.16. In the finals, Meendering swam in the A group, finishing in 50.43. Ongstad bested that time and won the B group with a finishing time of 49.96. The finals were Short Course Yards.
In the 200 Free, Miles MacKenzie finished in 1:39.49 in the SCY finals after putting up a time of 1:54.73 in the LCM prelims. The finals time was the fastest recorded 200 Free time of any Tiger this year.
