Box Score Davis, Calif. - The Pacific women's soccer team tied UC Davis 0-0 on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Aggie Soccer Field. The Tigers moved to 2-7-1 on the year, while UC Davis is now 3-7-1. It was the final non-conference matchup for both teams.
The Tigers were out-shot 9-3 in the first half, but evened it up at 6-6 in the second half. Pacific was out-shot 8-1 in the two overtime periods, including 5-0 in the final 10 minutes. In the 93rd minute, the match was delayed due to a leg injury to Pacific's Rebecca Dodele.
Sophomores Alex Hussar and Sandra Padilla and freshman Jessica Fogel had seven of Pacific's 10 shots. Hussar had three shots, while Fogel and Padilla each had two. Goalkeeper Melissa Ma had a career-high nine saves for the Tigers.
"We played really well against a local rival and it was a good preparation game going into WCC," said Head Coach Keith Coleman. "After an emotional injury stoppage we were able to gather ourselves and get a point on the road."
The Tigers open up West Coast Conference play at Portland on Friday, Oct. 3. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start.
