Pacific Falls At No. 10 Cal

Berkeley, Calif. - The Pacific women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at No. 10 on Friday, Sept. 19. Pacific dropped to 2-6-0 with the loss, while Cal improved to 8-1-0.

The Tigers held Cal scoreless for the first 24 minutes, but the Bears got on the scoreboard with a goal by Samantha Witteman at 24:39. Pacific was out-shot 4-2 in the first half by Cal.

Cal scored twice in the second half, with a pair of goals from Taylor Comeau at 54:40 and 66:35.

Pacific was out-shot 7-4 in the second half and 11-6 for the match, while the foul count favored Cal at 10-0. Lily Higashino had three shots for the Tigers, while Nicole Penick, Matti Long and Carly Marietti each added one shot.

The Tigers are next in action with a home game against UC Santa Barbara on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 1:00 p.m. on Knoles Soccer Field.
