LAS VEGAS – The Pacific women's soccer program looks to power through in its non-conference finale, completing the slate against UNLV on Thursday at 7 p.m. from Peter Johann Memorial Field.

The Tigers (1-7) seek to extend the surge of momentum into this week's tilt against the Rebels (1-4-2) following the team's first victory of the 2026 campaign over Cal State Bakersfield from this past Sunday.

Senior Kaya Rosa has been a hot hand of late, notching goals in back-to-back contests for a team-high three goals on the year. Along with the goals department, Rosa paces Pacific in the majority of the offensive numbers through non-conference action, owning a dozen shot attempts and nine shots on target. Rosa has played in every match this season, showcasing her strength and stamina to a forward-best 583 minutes in eight starts. With one more match ahead of the West Coast Conference slate, Rosa is currently tied for seventh in the WCC goals leaderboard, eighth in points and top 15 in shots.

Pacific put together its most robust offensive performance last time out on Senior Day. 12 different Tigers attempted at least one shot against the Roadrunners and seven registered each of their attempts on target. The Tigers look to use this mindset against the Rebels, who conceded 2.14 goals per game across seven matches thus far.

On the defensive end for the Tigers, freshman Ava Wells picked up her first career clean sheet, stopping three Roadrunner shots in the 1-0 win. Wells becomes the first freshman goalkeeper to earn a clean sheet since Lis Van Herwijnen did so in 2025. Wells now holds a 2.50 GAA and a team-high 26 saves in six starts. Her 26 saves is one shy off of the WCC leader. Looking at her last four starts, Wells has managed to give up just six goals off 48 shots faced.

UNLV played its last four matches away from Sin City, going 0-2-2 in that stretch. The Rebels' lone victory of the 2026 season came over Portland State in their home opener a month ago to the day.

Kaitlin Taylor has been the catalyst of the UNLV offense, registering a team-best four goals, two assists, ten points and 14 shot attempts in over 550 minutes this year. The Rebels have utilized a trio of goalies in 2026 with Riley Hodson earning the bulk of the work with a 2.01 GAA in four starts.

Pacific and UNLV meet for the first time since 2011. The Tigers claimed a 2-0 win in that 2011 clash that saw a pair of first-half goals propel them to victory. Pacific will make its first trip to UNLV since 2008 where the Tigers came up on the wrong end of a 1-0 decision in Las Vegas.
