Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific women's tennis team lost a close 4-3 match to Gonzaga at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts on Sunday, March 30. The Tigers dropped to 8-9 overall, 1-3 in West Coast Conference play, while the Bulldogs moved to 7-5 and 2-1 in WCC action.
"It was a heartbreaker today," said Head Coach Charlotte Scatliffe. "We give credit to Gonzaga who came out with a lot of energy and really loved the battle. Unfortunately we were not able to match that and fell short."
Gonzaga won the doubles point, which became the determining factor in the the match, as the teams split the six singles matches.
Pacific is next in action with a home match at the Hal Nelson Tennis Courts on Saturday, April 5, against Saint Mary's at 1:00 p.m.
