Box Score San Francisco, Calif. - The Pacific women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at San Francisco on Saturday, Nov. 8 to conclude the 2014 season. The Tigers dropped to 2-16-1, 0-9-0 in West Coast Conference play, while USF improved to 7-10-3, 3-5-1 in WCC play.
"This season flew by, and although we didn't get results on the scoreboard, we grew as a team and set a solid foundation for the future," said Head Coach Keith Coleman. "The West Coast Conference is one of the toughest conferences in the country and we gained valuable experience for our young players going forward."
The Dons took a 1-0 lead on a goal by Mackenzie Krieser at 16:26 and made it 2-0 at 34:06 on a goal by Camille Wilson. USF led 2-0 at halftime, out-shooting the Tigers 14-1 in the opening 45 minutes. Sophomore Alex Hussar had the Tigers' lone shot in the first half. USF made it 3-0 on a goal by Carissa Martine at 72:05.
For the match, the Tigers were out-shot 31-7, with Hussar, Nicole Penick, Matti Long (2), Sasha Moscatello and Jessica Fogel getting shots at the goal in the second half.
Goalkeeper Melissa Ma had five saves in the first half for the Tigers, while senior Jacqueline Kane had four saves in the second half.
