Tigers Fall At Home To No. 8 Pepperdine

Stockton, Calif. - The Pacific women's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision to No. 8 Pepperdine on Sunday, Oct. 12 at Knoles Soccer Field. The Tigers dropped to 2-11-1 on the season, 0-4-0 in West Coast Conference play, while Pepperdine improved to 12-1-2 and 3-0-1 in the WCC.

The Tigers were out-shot 12-1 in the first half. The Waves converted with a goal by Taylor Alavardo at 38:23 to take a 1-0 lead and led by the same score at the half. Alex Hussar had the Tigers' shot, missing just wide.

The game was very close with Pepperdine holding a 1-0 advantage until late in the game. Lynn Williams scored the first of four second half goals for the waves at the 76:13 mark. Williams added another goal at 82:09, while Rylee Baisden (80:53) and Courtney Assumma (85:38) also scored late.

Pacific was out-shot 21-2 in the match, with Hussar getting both shots.

The Tigers are next in action with a road game at Santa Clara on Sunday, October 19 at 11:00 a.m.
