Stockton, Calif.-The Tigers got off to a solid start against Hawai'i. Pacific managed to secure two of the three doubles positions allowing the Tigers to pick up the doubles point and ease some of the tension heading into the singles competitions. Freshman Hana Ritterova and sophomore Iveta Masarova secured their doubles win with a final score of 8-5 in the No. 1 position, while partners junior Susan Te and sophomore Gergana Boncheva picked up a win with a cool final score of 8-4.

In the singles events, the Tigers picked up victories in the No. 2, No. 4, and No. 5 positions. Ritterova posted a singles win against Poljakova with a final score 7-6, 7-5(5) in the No. 2 position. In the No. 4 position junior Susan Te defeated Petriskova in straight sets to post a final score of 7-5, 6-2. Lastly, Boncheva defeated Daguio with a final score of 6-4, 7-6(4).

With this victory the Tigers improve their season record to 7-10 and 2-3 in the Big West Conference. The Tigers now prepare to face UC Riverside in their sixth conference match of the season on home turf on April 5th at 11:00AM.
