Santa Clara, Calif.-In the match against the Santa Clara University Broncos, the Tigers got off to a rough start having dropped the doubles point to the Broncos. Pacific however, remained optimistic for the singles events.
The Singles events proved to be another struggle for the Tigers as the Broncos found their niche early on in the singles competitions. As a result, the Tigers yielded the win to the Santa Clara Broncos.
At the conclusion of the match, Head Women's Tennis Coach Charlotte Scatliffe stated, "I was once told that it's not about winning but wanting to win. Something about this team is we have the want. Each match I see my players maturity level improve and confidence grow. We have our first conference match tomorrow against Cal Poly at home ay 11am and the want to win is greater than ever."
The Tigers now prepare to face Cal Poly in their conference opener March 3rd, at the Hal Nelson Tennis Complex at 11:00AM.
