Las Vegas, Nev.-The Tigers started the day strong in Las Vegas in their opening match against Weber State. The match against Weber State was originally scheduled to take place yesterday February 8th, however the match was postponed due to harsh weather conditions. As a result, the Tigers would have to compete in a double header against Weber State followed by UNLV at 2PM

At 10AM the Tigers faced off against Weber State and managed a confident win with a final match score of 6-1.In their first set of doubles matches, Tigers junior Susan Te and freshman Christiana Ferrari dominated against Phonarath and Lloyd, but the Tigers came up short in the doubles competitions.

In the singles competitions, the Tigers picked up momentum and swept all six of the singles events. Five of the six singles events were won in straight sets, however Iveta Masarova's match against Ashley Tanner turned out to be an epic battle lasting three sets in which Masarova came dropped the first set and picked up the next two with confidence.  She posted a final score of 3-6, 6-0, 6-2.

In the match against No. 57 UNLV the Tigers lost some of the momentum from the previous match.  In the doubles competitions, came up short of success in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. In the singles events, the Tigers fought to the end and yielded the match to nationally ranked UNLV.  The Tigers now prepare to face New Mexico State at UNLV on Sunday, February 10th at 10AM before continuing their road trip to New Mexico. 

The Tigers now hold a season record of 2-2 and 0-0 in the Big West Conference.
