Four Tigers Wrap Up Season At NCAA Regional

Seattle, Wash. – Four members of the Pacific cross country team wrapped up the 2012 season on Friday, November 9 at the NCAA Regionals in Seattle, Washington. The Tigers sent four freshmen to compete in the regional.

Leading the way for Pacific was Washington native Lindsay Wourms with a time of 23:04, pacing out at 6:11 per mile. The freshman led the Tigers in every race in 2012, and she currently holds the all-time Pacific record for a 6K.

Following Wourms as she did all season was Becky Grabow. The freshman from Nevada clocked in with a time of 23:26, pacing 6:17.

Then came the freshmen duo of Mia Knipper and Lauren Nakaso. Knipper ran a time of 23:39 to pace 6:21. Nakaso timed a 24:22 to pace 6:33.

The race wrapped up an excellent campaign for Pacific Cross Country. The team set the all-time school mark at the Big West Championships, while individually the entire team at some point in the season broke a personal record.
