Game Notes

Stockton, Calif - The 4-0 Pacific women's basketball team meets Fordham (4-0) Friday evening at the Alex G. Spanos Center at 7 p.m. Pacific seeks a five-game win streak and its' best start since 1980-81.

The Tigers are 4-0 for the third time in program history, and first since the 1986-87 season. The 1986-87 Pacific squad opened 4-0 before a loss in game five. The best start in Tiger history was the 9-0 mark by the 1980-81 Tigers.

Pacific and Fordham are two of the 51 unbeaten teams out of the 345 squads in Division I (with three of those 51 putting their undefeated marks on the line Thursday).

The Tigers are the lone unbeaten in the Big West, while the Bronx, New York, based Rams are one of three unbeaten teams in the Atlantic 10. It will be the first-ever meeting between Pacific and Fordham.

Pacific has held opponents to 33 percent shooting on the season, including the last three under 31 percent for the game. The Tigers have had seven different players score 10 or more points in a game through three games: starters Kendall Kenyon (4), Gena Johnson (3), Erica McKenzie, Sam Pettinger and Kendall Rodriguez; as well as Claire Conricode and Shanice Butler. Last season, 10 different players hit double-figures in at least one contest.  Twelve Tigers scored in Pacific's 72-45 win over Santa Clara Tuesday.

The Tigers have yet to trail in the second half this season. On Tuesday, Pacific opened the first half against Santa Clara by spotting the Broncos a 2-1 lead, and then ripped off 16 straight points to build a 17-2 advantage 10 minutes in. After trading buckets to open the second half, Pacific reeled off a 14-2 run to stretch the lead to 21 and never look back in a 72-45 win.

Following Friday's contest, Pacific faces Fresno State on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. to close out a four-game home stand at the Alex. G. Spanos Center. The Tigers will hit the road for four straight games in December before a home game on Dec. 29 against San Francisco.
