San Diego, Calif. – The Pacific Tigers cross country team ran its final 6K before the Big West Championships on Saturday, October 6. The Tigers competed in the UCSD Triton Invite, but due to technical difficulties the team times could not be computed.
Leading the Tigers individually was freshman Lindsay Wourms with a time of 23:38. Following her was true freshman Becky Grabow who finished with a time of 24:27.
Head Coach Josh Jones talked about the race saying, "It was a tough day overall for us as a team. The field doubled in size from last year, and the course was overcrowded." He added, "We could not execute our race strategy and it really hurt us."
Jones continued by saying, "We have to move on from today's race. We will regroup and be ready to go next weekend."
The Tigers return to action at the Bronco Invite in Santa Clara, California on October 13.
