Riverside, Calif. - Pacific Cross Country concluded its team schedule at the Big West Championships on Saturday, October 27 in Riverside, Calif. The Tigers set the all-time school mark for a 6K with a time of 1:57:10.20 to place 10th.
In the Tigers final Big West Championships before moving to the West Coast Conference next fall, freshman Lindsay Wourms led the way posting a 22:24 to place 50th.
Recording a personal record was Becky Grabow and Rebecca Tuttle. Grabow finished in 65th with a time of 23:04, while Tuttle placed 78th with a time of 24:18.
Rounding out the Tigers' top five were freshman Mia Knipper, Lauren Nakaso and Grace McManus who finished in 72nd, 73rd and 76th, respectively. Knipper posted a time of 23:41, while Nakaso came in with a time of 23:49. McManus clocked a 24:11 for the Tigers.
Head coach Josh Jones was pleased with his team saying, "They fought hard all day. We had a couple personal records set and set the all-time Pacific mark, so overall it was a good day."
The Tigers are off until the NCAA Regionals where they will send a group of runners to be determined on November 9 to Seattle, Washington.
