Pacific finished ninth at the Hornet Jamboree on Saturday, September 12. Junior Kristina Hammarstrom (Manteca, Calif.) finished 48th with a time of 19:33, a 37 second improvement from last week's meet.

Taking a 73rd place finish was sophomore Jazmin Quiroz, who ran a 20:56, 38 seconds faster than her time from last week. Junior Devon Blount (Bucks Country, Pa.) took one minute and 24 seconds off her time to run with a time of 22:07.

Freshman Lia Genovese (Bow, N.H.) ran with a time of 24:00, an improvement of four seconds. Freshman Kirstin Kita finished with a time of 26:16, knocking 26 seconds off of her time from last week. Sophomore Gillian Flagg (Los Alamitos, Calif.)ran a 26:51, taking 26 seconds off of her time.

Tiger head coach Josh Jones is pleased with the improvement of his time. "I'm very excited about our race this week," said Jones. "Race course was much tougher with the hills and all the ladies improved a significant amount in one weeks time. Again we did train through this meet. Kristina's legs were shot from the training this week and she still managed to improve her time. Jazmin ran with a bad hamstring and ran one of her best times ever. Our objective when we started this year was to keep improving and we are accomplishing that. A big test will be our first 6k which is two weeks, but I'm confident that the ladies will run a solid performance."
