Pacific Places 12th During the SFSU Invitational

The Pacific cross country team competed in the SFSU Invitational on Friday, October 9. The Tigers took a 12th place finish during the 6K meet. Leading the way for the Tigers with a 64th place finish was junior Kristina Hammarstrom (Manteca, Calif.) with a time of 24:24.0.

Jazmin Quiroz (San Jose, Calif.) finished next for the Tigers, with a time of 25:33.4 and 105th place finish.

Four of the six Tiger runners improved on their time from the last 6K race. Junior Devin Blount (Bucks County, Pa.) ran a 28:22.9. Freshman Lia Genovese (Bow, N.H.) finished with a time of 30:29.4. Sophomore Gillian Flagg (Los Alamitos) ran a 30:44.0 and finished just before freshman Kirstin Kita (Torrance, Calif.) who ran a 31:00.4. Kita improved her time by over two minutes.

The Tigers will be back in action on October 17 for the Bronco Invitational in Santa Clara.
