Klaus Finishes 15th at Chico Invitational

Chico, Calif. - Junior Micaela Klaus led the way for the Pacific cross country team on Sept. 8 at the Chico State Invitational in Chico, Calif. by finishing in fifteenth place overall with a time of 23:05. In the 6K race, Klaus and teammates Meghan Mullen (South San Francisco, Calif.) and Kristina Hammarstrom (Manteca, Calif.) all ran personal best times for the 6K distance in the Tigers' first ever appearance at the Chico State Invitational.

Mullen finished just five places behind Klaus covering the 6K course with a time of 23:38 in the race, while Hammarstrom finished her first 6K as a collegiate runner with a time of 26:12. Mullen and Hammarstrom's times earned them 20th and 38th place finishes overall in the invitational.

The Tigers will next be in action on Sept. 15 at the Hornet Jamboree in Sacramento, Calif. The race will be hosted by Sacramento State and will begin at 9:45 a.m.
