Stanford, Calif. - The Pacific cross country team finished ahead of six teams in 22nd place at the prestigious Stanford Invitational on Sept. 29. Stanford's Arianna Lambie finished first in the 6K covering the course in a time of 19:48, while Stanford also took home the team title in the event, edging the rest of the field by over 50 points.
Micaela Klaus (Peru, NY) was the top finisher for the Tigers, as she has been all season, in 108th place with a time of 23:14. Not far behind, was Meghan Mullen (South San Francisco) in 127th place with a time of 23:41.
Kristina Hammarstrom (Manteca, Calif.) was the third finisher for the Tigers with a time of 24:48. Hammarstrom finished in 175th place overall, just ten spots ahead of Francesca Au (Concord, Calif.), who finished in 185th place with a time of 25:03. Rounding out the top five for the Tigers was Victoria Lam (Oakland, Calif.). Lam covered the 6K course in a time of 29:54.
The Tigers will next be in action on Oct. 6 when they will compete in the SFSU Invitational in San Francisco, Calif. The race will start at 8:15 a.m.
