Led by Senior Krzysztof Zoldak's won the 400 IM, the Pacific Men's Team Remains in Fourth Place at 15-team Nike Cup

Long Beach, Calif. - Behind an individual victory by senior Krzysztof Zoldak (Oswiecim, Poland) in the 400 IM, the Pacific men's swim team held on to fourth place in the 15-team Nike Cup on Friday, Nov. 16.

Zoldak defeated a field of 50 competitors in the 400 IM, posting a time of 3:51.32 in the finals of the event. Krzysztof shaved more than 13 seconds of the time he delivered in the preliminaries at 4:04.87.

Another impressive individual finish for the Tigers was turned in by fellow senior Wojciech Betlej (Mielec, Poland) in the 100 Back. Betlej placed second in the event, besting 58 other swimmers with a time of 49.93. Wokciech was just over two seconds behind the event winner, Eugene Godsoe of Stanford, who finished in 47.55.

Zoldak and Betlej were joined by juniors Thomas Peart (Livermore, Calif.) and Stephen Quinn (Livermore, Calif.) in the 800 Free Relay. The Tigers' top foursome placed third in the event with a time of 6:54.85

The Tigers will conclude action at the Nike Cup on Saturday, Nov. 17.
