Klaus And Mullen Lead Pacific To A Seventh Place Finish At The Gator Invitational

San Francisco, Calif. - With their top two runners finishing in 12th and 13th place, the Pacific cross country team finished the Gator Invitational, hosted by San Francisco State, in seventh place overall on Saturday, October 6. The Gators took first place at the meet as they had the top two runners with Michelle Born finishing first out of the 106 woman field in a time of 22:25.

For the Tigers, junior Micaela Klaus (Peru, NY) finished at the top of the team with a 12th place finish in a time of 23:17. Right on her heels was her teammate, junior Meghan Mullen (South San Francisco, Calif.), who, running in her home city, finished the race in a time of 23:24.

Other Tigers competing in the race were Kristina Hammarstrom (Manteca, Calif.), Francesca Au (Concord, Calif.), and Victoria Lam (Oakland, Calif.). Hammarstrom finished in 35th place with a time of 24:30, Au finished in 37th with a time of 24:34, and Lam finished in 102nd place with a time of 30:38.

The Tiger will next be in action on Saturday, October 13, as they travel to San Luis Obispo, Calif. to take part in the Cal Poly Invitational. The meet is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am.
