Tigers Finish Eighth at Stanford Invitational

Stanford, Calif. - Led by sophomore Meghan Mullen (South San Francisco, Calif.), the Tigers placed eighth at the Stanford Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 30.

Stanford took the meet's team title, while unattached runner Jennifer Toomey was the overall winner of the 4k event with a time of 14:02.

Mullen finished first in the ten team race for Pacific in 42nd place with a time of 16:10, while fellow sophomore Micaela Klaus (Peru, NY) finished in 46th place with a time of 16:17.

Also scoring for the Tigers were junior Francesca Au (Concord, Calif.) in 56th place with a time of 16:46, sophomore Rachel Ponce (Bakersfield, Calif.) in 74th place with a time of 18:45, and freshman Maria Elena Ramirez Espinosa (Sacramento, Calif.) in 75th with a time 18:50.

The Tigers will be back in action on Oct. 7 at the San Francisco State Invitational in San Francisco, Calif. The meet will start at 9:00 AM.
