Pacific Defeats San Francisco State, 73-57, To Conclude Exhibition Play

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific men's basketball team closed out its exhibition schedule with a 73-57 victory over San Francisco State on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the Alex G. Spanos Center.

Sophomore Anthony Brown (Sacramento, Calif.) led the Tigers with 16 points, hitting eight of nine free throws. Senior Anthony Esparza (Bakersfield, Calif.) had 11 points and a game-high five assists.

Pacific used an 11-4 run to start the second half, building a 36-23 halftime lead to 47-27 with 16:08 remaining in the game. The Gators battled back to cut the Tiger lead to 56-48 with 10:15 left, but Pacific's strong defense allowed just nine points the rest of the way.

Senior Reggie Vezia (Vacaville, Calif.) added nine points for the Tigers.

Will Logan led San Francisco State with 16 points.

The Tigers finished the exhibition season 2-0, and will open the regular season this Saturday against Cal State Bakersfield in the Alex G. Spanos Center at 7:00 p.m.
