San Francisco, Calif. - Behind a twelfth place finish from sophomore Micaela Klaus (Peru, NY), the Tigers placed eigth at the San Francisco State Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 7.
Fresno State won the meet's team title, while San Francisco University's Elizabeth Noey finished first in the ten team 6K with a time of 23:02.
Klaus led the way for Pacific finishing 49 seconds behind Noey with a time of 23:51. Shortly behind her, fellow sophomore Meghan Mullen (South San Francisco, Calif.) finished in 23rd place for the Tigers. Mullen covered the course in a time of 24:14.
Junior Francesca Au (Concord, Calif.) finished third for the team in 62nd place with a time of 26:11. Sophomore Rachel Ponce (Bakersfield, Calif.) finished 76th with a time of 27:38 and freshman Maria Elena Ramirez Espinosa finished 78th with a time of 28:01.
The Tigers will be back in action on Oct. 14 when they will compete at the Cal Poly Invitational in San Luis Obispo, Calif. The race will start at 9:00 AM.
