San Luis Obispo, Calif. - Led by sophomore Micaela Klaus (Peru, NY), the Pacific cross country team finished in twelfth place at the Cal Poly Invitational held at Fairbanks Cross Country Course on Oct. 14.
Oregon State won the meet's team title while junior Laura Mickelson of Loyola Marymount finished first in the thirteen team 5K event with a time of 17:34.
Klaus led the Tigers with a 56th place finish and a time of 19:39, while sophomore teammate Meghan Mullen (South San Francisco, Calif.) finished just behind her in 69th place and a time of 20:06.
Also scoring for the Tigers were junior Francesca Au (Concord, Calif.) in 94th place with a time of 21:14, freshman Maria Elena Ramirez Espinosa (Sacramento, Calif.) in 127th place with a time of 22:49, and sophomore Rachel Ponce (Bakersfield, Calif.) who finished with a time of 23:38 in 130th place.
The Tigers will next be in action on Oct. 28 when they will compete in the Big West Championships in San Luis Obispo, Calif. at 9:00 AM.
