Tigers defeated by No. 1 Nebraska, 3-0

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Pacific Tigers dropped to 4-4 on the season as the Tigers were defeated, 3-0, by No. 1 Nebraska on Saturday, Sept. 10. Game scores for the match were (30-13, 30-14, 30-17). The Cornhuskers moved to 7-0 with the win.

The Tigers struggled in the first two games as Pacific had eight kills and 12 errors in both of the first two games (-.108 and -.125). The top-ranked Huskers, meanwhile, had 13 kills and no errors (.464) in game one and had 14 kills and three errors (.344) in game two.

Trailing 2-0 as the Tigers returned to the court from the break, Pacific forced Nebraska in six errors and held the Cornhuskers average to just .250, but it wasn't enough as Nebraska completed the 3-0 sweep.

Sophomore Kara Uhl (Cypress, Calif.) led the Tigers as she finished with seven kills and 10 digs. Nebraska was led by Jennifer Saleaumua, who finished with nine kills and 11 digs.

The Tigers will be back in action on Sunday, Sept. 11 as Pacific completes play in the Nebraska Players Challenge with a match against Pepperdine at 1 p.m. (CT).

The match will be broadcast on tape delay on CSTV at 1 p.m. (PT). The match will be re-aired on twice on Monday, Sept. 12 at 9:00 a.m. (PT) and again at 9:00 p.m. (PT)
