Trailing 7-1 after the first media timeout, the Tigers settled in offensively and reversed a slow start to take a two point lead at the half. Behind a 12-to-4 run, the Tigers climbed within two points at 21-19 with 3:23 minutes to play in the half. Senior Tina Sanerivi (Waipahu, Hawaii) led the way in the first half for the Tigers, scoring 10 points in the half. Sanerivi notched six points in a three minutes span early that jump started the Tigers' offense.

Out of the break, the Beavers took control of the game, using a 7-0 run, establishing a lead that they would not relinquish the rest of the way. Pacific closed within one at 41-40 with 7:34 minutes remaining, but were unable to get tie the game. With every run the Tigers' made, the Beavers answered immediately with a run of their own, building their lead back to seven points at 47-40 with just over three minutes to play.

The Beavers closed out the game hitting 3-of-6 from the line, as the Tigers were unable to come down with a rebound from any of the missed free throws that would have allowed them to take a shot at tying the game.

On the day, the Tigers dominated in the paint and on the boards, out rebounding the Beavers 44-31, while pulling down 19 offensive rebounds. The story however was told in the fact that the Tigers were only able to post nine second chance points off of their 19 offensive rebounds.

The Beavers had three players reach double figures on the day, led by Kim Butler who took home game-honors with 17 points on 7-of-15 shooting. Anita Rivera and Mandy Close rounded out the scoring for the Beavers notching 14 and 11 points on the day, respectively. For the Tigers, Sanerivi was the lone Tiger to reach double figures, finishing the day with 15 points and seven rebounds. Junior Wyvonne Jones (Wichita, Kan.) added seven rebounds and four assists but was held to just one point in her second game for the Tigers. Senior Carolina Ruiz (Paradise, Calif.) had another solid showing in the post for the Tigers as she tallied eight points and seven rebounds.
