Attended Santa Teresa High School in San Jose. Was the Most Improved Player of the Year her sophomore year in the Blossom Valley Athletic League (BVAL). Also earned the Barbara H. Uchiyama Saints Award at her school during her senior year for the Saint Bernards. Earned Magna Cum Laude honors and was a four year swimmer on the varsity swimming team. Also played in the Symphonic Band for three years as an alto and baritone saxophone player. Was also part of the Model United Nations Speech and Debate team.
