University of the Pacific

2012 (Freshman):
In her first year at Pacific, Maddy made an immediate impact defensively for the Tigers as a defensive specialist. Despite playing just three rotations and in just 88 of Pacific''s 126 sets, Call posted 212 digs while averageing 2.41 digs per set, the fourth-best average among all of the Tigers. Overall, Maddy posted double-digit digs in 12 matches throughout the season while posting a season-best 15 digs against Marquette on Sept. 14. In addition to her defensive prowess, Maddy added eight assists and nine service aces while also picking up one kill from the back row.

High School/Club:
A two-sport athlete at Los Gatos High School, Maddy excelled both as a Libero on the volleyball court in the Fall while tending the net in goal on the soccer pitch in the Spring. On the court, Call spent two seasons as the Wildcat''s starting Libero and defensive specialist. As a senior, Maddy helped guide the Wildcats to a 24-9 overall record and 10-2 mark in Santa Clara Valley League play. She finished her final high school season with a team-best 322 digs while averaging 3.6 per game. For her play, Maddy was named Los Gatos'' Fremale Athlete of the Year. Off the court, Maddy was named to the Honor Roll & Prinicipals'' Honor Roll in each of her four years at Los Gatos HS.

Personal:
Madeline Call is from Monte Sereno, Calif. and is the daughter of Bart and Cathy Call. In addition to her skills on the court, Maddy is a First Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo.  In Maddy''s first year at Pacific she has yet to decide a major plan of study.
