2012 (Junior):
Maintaining her spot as the Tigers'' No. 1 middle in 2012,Sanders put together another solid all-around showing as shetallied 316 kills on .290 hitting while adding 107 blocks for 376.0points. Throughout the season, Sanders led the Tigers'' in kills insix matches including posting a career-best 18 kills against UCIrvine on Nov. 18. Offensively, Jen posted 17 matches of 10+ killsfor the Tigers including posting a stretch of six straight matchesearly in the season during tournament play to lead Pacific''sattack. In four tournaments for the Tigers, Sanders earned threeall-tournament awards for her play in the middle.
2011(Sophomore):
In her second season in the Orange and Black, Sanders made ittwo-for-two in postseason honors as the sophomore garneredhonorable mention honors as one of the top offensive middleblockers in the Big West. The most proficient hitter in the BigWest throughout 2011, Sanders finished her year ranked No. 1 in theconference in hitting percentage at .344, a rank that placed herNo. 62 in the country. Additionally, Sanders steady play at the netranked among the finest seasons in Pacific’s storied historyas her .344 hitting percentage came in at No. 7 on theTigers’ all-time single-season list. Against Big Westopponents, Sanders was nearly as proficient as she tallied a .335mark to finish fourth among all conference attackers. Offensively,Sanders finished second on the team in kills with 302, reaching 300kills for the first time in her young career. Additionally, Sandersproved to be the Tigers'' top defensive player at the net in 2011 asshe tallied 88 total blocks including posting 16 solo efforts.
2010(Freshman):
Earning All-Big West Freshman Team honors in her first year ofcollegiate volleyball, Sanders was a force for the Tigers at thenet starting all 30 games for Pacific in the middle. Closing outher first year at Pacific, Sanders posted 255 kills, third-best onthe team, after averaging 2.20 kills per game. Ending the year onan upswing, Sanders prowess in the middle showed withcareer-efforts at the net as she tallied 37 kills in her final twoconference matches including a 22 kill effort against UC SantaBarbara on November 13. Defensively, she finished the year with 77blocks, second best among Pacific blockers. She finished third onthe team in points scored after posting 298 for the year, a 2.57points per game average.
High School:
An early signee for the Tigers, Sanders came to Pacific out ofCinco Ranch High School in Katy, Texas. As a senior, Sanders earnedAll-District 17 League and league co-MVP honors, all-area honors aswell as first team all-state honors for her play at the net. Forthe year she led the Cougars to a 42-7 overall record and a perfect10-0 league record en route to winning the District 17championship, the 5A Region III championship and finishing in thethird at the 5A Texas State Championships.
Personal:
Jennifer Sanders was born in Katy, Texas and is thedaughter of Nancy and Ted Sanders. She has three siblings, onebrother, James, and two sisters, Katie and Angela. Jennifer ismajoring in geology in her fourth year at Pacific.
