Batalon enters his fifh season atPacific as the team's Associate Head Coach. Ray remains in chargeof the Tigers' scouting and video database while remaining anintegral part of Pacific's recruiting.

Prior to coming to Pacific, Batalonspent seven seasons on the bench at the University of Nevada, Reno.He was named the Wolf Pack's top assistant prior to the 2007season. Batalon was primarily responsible for Nevada's recruitingas the team's recruiting coordinator while managing the team'svolleyball database as well as serving as the primary evaluator.Leading the way on the recruiting effort, Batalon helped land thenation's 23rd-ranked recruiting class in 2006.

In addition to recruiting, Raydeveloped the opponent scouting reports for the Wolf Pack whileworking as the team's video coordinator and underclassmen academicadvisor. On the court, Batalon helped train the Wolf Pack setters,defensive specialists and middle blockers.

Prior to Nevada, Batalon was astaple in the Nevada high school ranks as he was the head coach atReno High School from 1995-99 and an assistant at Bishop ManogueHigh School in 2000 and North Valleys High School in 2001.

Before beginning his coachingcareer, Batalon played men's volleyball at Nevada from 1991-95. Heearned his bachelor's degree in general studies from Nevada in2003.
