High School
Chan played her prep soccer for Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, excelling both on the field and in the classroom. In 2018, she helped the Leprechauns out of the West Catholic Athletic League and into a Central Coast Section Two Division Championship, where they finished as NorCal State semifinalists. A dual-sport athlete, Chan also ran track for the Leprechauns. On an individual level, she picked up Athlete of the Month honors and earned the Irish Award, which was renamed the Legend Award in her honor. She was also named as the Leprechauns' track and field team's unsung hero. In the classroom, she landed on the honor roll all four years. In addition to her experience at Sacred Heart, Chan played for the San Jose Earthquakes Development Academy for two seasons. She made six starts for the Quakes in 2016-17 and played in 21 games while making 19 starts the next season. Chan scored once for her club team.
