Biography

2016 (Senior):
Started all 17 games for Pacific. The defender logged one shot on the year which came against UC Davis (Sep. 16). The Chino Hills, Calif. native was integral in the 1-0 shutout victory over Saint Mary’s (Oct. 2). Following the season, Jones earned All-WCC Honorable Mention honors for her solid season on the backline. 

2015 (Junior):
The defender saw action in 12 games for the Tigers, including five starts. Entering the game in relief, the defender helped the Tigers secure their first win of the season against Sacramento State (Aug. 28). Jones logged her first collegiate shot in the 2-1 win against Saint Mary’s (Oct. 24).

2014 (Sophomore):
In her second year Jones played in 19 matches, starting in 18.  Jones was a big part of the Tigers backline, and her defensive efforts helped to contribute to a shutout win against Quinnipiac (Aug. 29).    

2013 (Freshman):
In her inaugural season Jones played in 16 matches and started in 12 on the Tigers backline. 

High School:
Maya is a 5''7" defender from Ruben S. Ayala High School in Chino Hills, Calif. She was a four-year varsity starter, helping the team to undefeated league championships in 2010 and 2011. As a junior last year, Maya helped the Bulldogs to the CIF Quarter-Finals. She earned all-league honors in each of her first three seasons.
