Biography
Track 2014: Long''s season highlights include her thirds place finish overall in the 100 Meters at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival, finishing with a season best of 13.94aw. Long finished third overall in the 100 Meters at the 2014 Chabot/CSU East Bay Legacy Invite, finishing close to her season best at 14.04a.
2014 Track Statistics
2014 (Sophomore):
In her sophomore year Matti played in 19 games for the Tigers, starting in 12. She took a total of 11 shots scoring one goal against UC Santa Barbara on September 21st. She also had one assist that Taylor Ayers to score against Loyola Marymount on October 10th.
2013 (Freshman):
In her inaugural season Matti played in 17 games, starting in four. In her first season Matti took six shots and had one assist. Her assist led Alex Hussar to score on September 22nd against Sacramento State.
High School:
Matti is a 5''4" Striker from Brighton High School in Sandy, Utah. She was the goal and assist leader for Brighton HS in both 2011 and 2012 scoring a combined 28 goals (17 in 2012) and adding 45 assists. Matti earned first team All-Region selection and a second team All-State selection in 2012 and earned All-State honors at Alta High School in 2009. Playing with Sparta United in 2010, she helped lead the team to the State Cup championship. Matti followed her sister Tashia to Pacific, as Tashia will be a senior goalkeeper for the Tigers next fall. Along with her soccer success Matti earned honor roll honors last year.
