Biography

Track 2014: Cabrera competed at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival in the 200 Meters, finishing with a 27.37a. Cabrera finished off her season with a second place finish overall in the 100 Meters at the 2014 Chabot/CSU East Bay Legacy Invite, with a season high of 13.09a.

2014 (Senior):
Malaya saw action in all 19 matches for the Tigers, starting in Pacific’s backline. Throughout the year, Cabrera logged four shots and scored one goal. Malaya’s lone goal was the winning point against Quinnipiac on August 29th.
2013 (Junior):
Malaya played and started in all 19 matches for the Tigers in 2013. Malaya played alongside her sister Milan Cabrera in the Tigers backline. She had a total of two shots, one against Portland and one against Loyola Marymount.
2012 (Sophomore):
Malaya played in 11 games as a sophomore, making five starts. She scored one goal, evening the score against UC Irvine on Oct. 12. She had five shots on the year, including two on goal. She was also a Pacific Scholar Athlete.
2011 (Freshman):
Malaya saw action in all 18 games for the Tigers while earning four starts throughout her inaguaral season. Throughout the year, Cabrera logged six shots, with three on goal, while picking up one assist. Her first collegiate point came against Cal State Bakersfield on Sept. 11 as she assisted on what would-be the game-winning goal in Pacific''s 4-0 victory.
High School:
Malaya Cabrera, a 5-6 defender/midfielder from Canyon Country, Calif., is a three-time All-League selection earning first team honors her last three seasons at Canyon High School. Under coach Eric White, Cabrera played varsity for four seasons of winter soccer and saw time at every position on the field except goalkeeper, helping the Cowgirls to Foothill League championships in 2008 and 2009. The team MVP, Cabrera earned First Team All-Valley honors as a senior, her third straight year receiving that honor.
Personal:
Malaya Cabrera is the daughter of Robert P. and Farah Cabrera. Has three siblings, Milan, Israel and Liam. Her older sister Milan plays soccer at Oregon State. Diversified (education) major.
