Biography
2017 (Senior):
Appeared in four games for the Orange and Black in an injury shortened season.
2016 (Junior):
One of five Tigers to start all 17 games. Was third on the team in total shots with 15 and second in shots on goal with nine. Registered a season-high three shots against #18 Connecticut (Sep. 2). Scored the lone goal in the 1-1 draw with Sacramento State (Sep. 11). For her stellar work in the classroom, Higashino earned a WCC All-Academic honorable mention plaudit.
2015 (Sophomore):
Started all 17 games for the Orange and Black. Registered 15 shots, the third-most on the team, including a career-high four that came against North Dakota State (Sep. 6). Higashino''s five shots-on-goal were fourth-most on the team, and her midfield play was integral in the conference victories over Gonzaga (Oct. 9) and Saint Mary’s (Oct. 24).
2014 (Freshman):
In her first year of action for the Tigers, Higashino played in 18 matches while starting 12 in the midfield. In her inaugural season the midfielder logged 11 shots, scoring her first collegiate goal against Canisius on September 5th.
High School:
Lily is a 5-6 midfielder and joins the Tigers from Wailuku, Hawai''i. The team captain of the Kamehameha School''s varsity team, she was a Maui Interscholastic League First Team selection. Lily was also a standout for the Maui United Soccer Club and the Leahi Soccer Club.
Personal:
Lily Higashino was born in Wailuku, Hawai''i, and is the daughter of Peter and Carolee Higashino. She has three siblings: Kendall, Elizabeth, and Kainoa. Higashino is a business administration major at Pacific. Her hobbies include hiking, going to the beach, and soccer.
