Biography
2014 (Junior):
In her junior year Cheyenne played in 12 matches, making one start. Her effort in the classroom paid off, earning herself a spot on the WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention Team for the 2014 season.
2013 (Sophomore):
Cheyenne played in a total of four games in her sophomore year for the Tigers. She was able to get one shot against UC Santa Barbara on September 6th. Her season ended early due to a knee injury.
2012 (Freshman):
Cheynnne scored one goal for the Tigers in her first season in the Orange and Black. She scored one goal on the year, in Pacific''s 3-2 overtime win over Saint Mary''s on Sept. 20. She had three shots, appearing in 12 games for the Tigers. After an outstanding year in the classroom, she earned Pacific and Big West Scholar Athlete accolades.
High School:
Cheyenne Somers, a 5-5 forward/midfielder, came to Pacific from Carmel, Indiana. She played for Carmel High School as a freshman and sophomore on the varsity team before choosing to play club soccer year-round in her final two seasons. She scored 16 goals in 2011 for the U-18 Ohio Elite. Somers was guest-player on four California-based club teams and has ODP experience with the Indiana State team at the U-14, U-15, U-16, and U-17 levels. She also played for the FC Pride club team in 2011, advancing to the Indiana State Cup finals.
Personal:
Cheyenne Somers was born in Carmel, Ind., and is the daughter of Tagore and Linda Somers. She has two sisters, Alanna and Tracy. Somers will pursue a degree in sports medicine.
