Biography

Unique Coleman scored 391 points with 232 rebounds in parts of four seasons with the Tigers. Midway through a breakout sophomore campaign, she suffered the first of two knee injuries in her career. She ranks 17th on the Tigers'' blocked shots list with 44, and in the top 50 in steals and games played.

2016-17 (Senior):
Coleman returned from her two knee injuries to play 30 games in 2016-17, including 20 starts. She scored 53 points while ripping 19 steals and grabbing 45 rebounds. On the year, she handed out 22 assists. Coleman scored 11 points against Marquette (Nov. 26) on 4-of-4 shooting. She grabbed a season-high five rebounds on two occasions, against Fresno State (Dec. 10) and against San Diego (Jan. 5)

Junior (2015-16)
Unique Coleman played in 13 games for the Tigers averaging 21 minutes per game. She averaged 4.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game with 17 assists, 13 steals and 11 blocks. Coleman was working her way back from the knee injury that ended her sophomore year prematurely, and was nearly all the way back when another knee injury cut short her junior campaign after 13 games. In her last six games leading up to her injury, Coleman had averaged 6.2 points per game while shooting 41 percent (13-of-32), to go with nine assists, nine steals and seven blocks. Scored a season-high 11 points with a season-high five assists against Stanislaus State (Dec. 15). Grabbed a career-high tying eight rebounds against San Jose State (Dec. 12) ti go with eight points.

Sophomore (2014-15)
Played in 24 games with 13 starts before a season-ending knee injury. The Tigers were 17-7 overall and and 9-4 in WCC action with her in the lineup. She averaged 8.0 points per game on 41 percent shooting with 51 assists and 45 steals to go with 3.7 rebounds per game. Coleman scored in double-figures nine times, all in her last 15 games before the injury. Set a career-high with 19 points against Gonzaga (Jan. 24) at home and added 14 in a win over Portland (Jan. 22) and 15 in a win over Pepperdine (Jan. 3). Knocked down a trio of three-pointers in a win over New Mexico State (Dec. 19), finishing with 12 points. Coleman drew the toughest guard match-up defensively and averaged 1.9 steals per game, fifth in the WCC. She posted 10 games with multiple steals including three games with three steals, a pair of four-steal games, five steals against Iona (Nov. 23) and a career-best six against Cal Maritime (Dec. 12). Set career highs with eight rebounds in back-to-back wins over Montana (Nov. 21) and Iona (Nov. 23).

Freshman (2013-14)
Named to the West Coast Conference All-Freshman Team. Appeared in 28 games, logging 335 minutes. Scored 91 points, 3.3 per game including 4.5 per game in conference play. Handed out 15 assists to go with 10 steals and seven blocked shots. Connected on 36.3 percent from the field and grabbed 40 rebounds. Scored a career-high 17 points at Saint Mary''s (Feb. 8) on 6-of-9 shooting with five rebounds and a pair of assists. Added 14 points on 7-of-8 shooting at Pepperdine (Feb. 13) and 13 points with a 7-for-9 performance from the free throw line at Loyola Marymount (Feb. 15) with a career-best two blocked shots. Grabbed a career-high five rebounds against Saint Mary''s (Feb. 8) and San Francisco (Feb. 22).

High School
St. Mary''s product Unique Coleman, a 5-10 guard from Stockton, is a three-time all-league and all-section honoree as she enters her senior campaign. Under head coach Tom Gonsalves, the Rams have won two state championships in the last three years, with three league championships and a sectional championship. Coleman has also played for Leroy Hurt''s Cal Ballaz club team.
