Biography

2023-24 (Graduate Student)
Named to WCC Honorable Mention. Appeared and started in 32 games. Shot .480 from the field, .378 at the three-point line and .765 from the free throw line. Second leading scorer on the team in conference games with 13.3 points per game. Third leading scorer on the team overall with 12.0 points per game. Averaged a second team-leading 4.8 rebounds per game. Registered 22 double-figure performances with three of them being 20+ points. Tallied career-high 25 points against Portland (Feb. 15). Named WCC Player of the Week (Jan. 23) after recording back-to-back 20+ points at San Diego (Jan. 18) and against Pepperdine (Jan. 20). Selected to CSC Academic All-District and WCC All-Academic Team Honorable Mention. 

2022-23 (Junior)
Cecilia played in 31 games this season. She set career bests in every category; points (16), steals (3), assists (5), rebounds (8), free throws (4), threes (2), blocks (3), field goals (8), and minutes played (32). Holmberg was a great asset on the offensive side, scoring 10+ points in 10 games this season. During the WCC tournament, she averaged 13.6 points a game. In the Tigers game against the Toreros (Mar. 4), Holmberg went a perfect 4-4 from beyond the arc, a career-high helping the black and orange advance to the semi-finals. She was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.

2021-22 (Sophomore) 
Played in 25 games, starting 15. Averaged 5.7 points and 2.5 rebounds. Scored a career-best 15 points in three separate contest against San Francisco (2/10), Pepperdine (2/15) and William-Jessup (11/11) where she also secured a career-best in rebounds with eight. Named the the WCC All-Academic Honorable Mentions list. 

2020-21 (Sophomore, St. John’s)
Came off the bench in 12 games for the Red Storm. Had a season-high five points, hitting 2-3 from the field in the road game at Providence. Had a season-high three rebounds in that contest. 
 
2019-20 (Freshman, St. John’s)
Played in 16 games. Averaged 8.0 minutes per game, along with 1.5 rebounds and 1.1 points per game. Tallied a career-best seven points against Army. Had a career-best four rebounds against both Wake Forest and Yale. 

Prior to Pacific
Comes to Pacific after two seasons at St. John's University in Queens, New York...During her time with the Red Storm, Holmberg was efficient as a shooter overall, which included finishing 55 percent from the floor and 67 percent from behind-the-arc in 12 games during the 2020-21 season. Prior to her time in New York, Holmberg was selected to compete for the U15, U16, U18 and U20 Swedish National Teams, during which she was a part of three European Championships. Additionally, Holmberg was selected to the FIBA Camp as one of the top two talents in Sweden in 2015 while also being named the National Champions Elite Eight MVP in 2018 & 2019. Holmberg also helped her school, BG Lulea, to the national championship in 2019 and was subsequently named to the All-Star team.
