Biography
2019-20 (Junior)
McDavid entered the year as a Preseason All-WCC selection and on the watch list for the Katrina McClain Award, given to the nation's best power forward. Ranked among the top 15 in the West Coast Conference in scoring (7th/14.8), rebounding (12th/5.7), field goal percentage (3rd/.508) and offensive rebounds (9th/2.3) to earn All-WCC First Team honors. Second on the team in scoring and rebounding. Became the seventh player in program history to reach 200 career offensive rebounds, climbing up to second all-time on the career list with 255. Joined the program's 1,000-point club against Pepperdine (1/4) with her first two field goals of the game. Scored in double figures in 24 of Pacific's 31 contests. Led Pacific in scoring on 10 occasions and rebounding on six occasions. Recorded five 20-point games on the year, going for a career-high 32 at Oregon State (11/11) on 14-of-20 shooting.
2018-19 (Sophomore)
McDavid was one of two players to start all 32 games for the Tigers in 2018-19, averaging 15.1 points and 6.6 rebounds (both second on the team) in 27.2 minutes per game. She earned back-to-back WCC Player of the Week honors for the games against LMU (1/24) and Pepperdine (1/26)) after averaging 18.5 points and 10.0 rebounds on 45 percent shooting. McDavid scored a season-high of 28 points in the win against Santa Clara (1/17), shooting 66.7 percent from the field and grabbing 11 rebounds. McDavid grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds in Pacific's first-round WNIT win over Fresno State (3/20). McDavid totaled an impressive 467 points and 200 rebounds on the season, earning her a spot on the All-WCC Second Team.Â
2017-18 (Freshman)
McDavid had a stellar campaign as a true freshman for Pacific, playing in all 32 games with 24 starts. McDavid finished with 317 points in 805 minutes played. McDavid scored in double-digits 18 times with a season-high 17 points twice. She tallied two double-doubles and grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds against Seattle U (12/17). McDavid averaged six rebounds per game and shot 50.4 percent from the field. She was named to the WCC All-Freshman Team and earned an All-WCC Honorable Mention nod.Â
Anaya Brooklyn McDavid is a 6-1 forward out of Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, California  McDavid averaged 14.9 points and 9.8 rebounds per game by hitting 61 percent from the field. She earned the most improved player and best offensive player awards for the Warriors, helping them to a 24-11 record her senior season. At 7-2, Bishop Alemany finished second in the Mission League. As a junior, McDavid was part of the Mission League championship squad at 7-1 and 24-7 overall for coach Bryan Camacho''s Warriors. Prior to her two years at Biship Almany, McDavid attended Kenwood Academy in Chicago. She also played a season with Cal Swish EYBL at the Nike Nationals. McDavid was also on the Alemany track team, competing in the 1,600-meter relay and the high jump while qualifying for the state tournament in Chicago. She was selected to the All-City Team from the Girls Basketball Public League by the Chicago Tribune, and as an All-Star for the Windy City AAU Basketball Classic.
High School
Competed for Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, California. Led the Warriors to back-to-back CIF State Girls Basketball Championships appearances and top-20 state rankings with a combined record of 49-20 in her junior and senior years. Registered 11.2 points per game her senior season, ranking in the top ten in the Mission League alongside teammate Isabel Newman.Â
