Redshirt Junior (2011-12)
An impact newcomer in the Big West, Wakefield started the first 18 games for Pacific before being sidelined for 10 games with an ankle injury. Returned for the final four games of the season. Averaged 12.2 points per game while shooting .516 from the field (96-of-186). Registered 5.9 rebounds per game to go with 46 assists, 34 steals and six blocked shots (but did not qualify for Big West leaderboards due to time missed). Scored in double-figures in 14 of her 22 games, including a season-high 24 against San Diego in both the regular season (Dec. 11) and WNIT (Mar. 18). Posted three double-doubles on the year. One of the top rebounding guards in the Big West, Wakefield grabbed 10 or more rebounds in four games, including a season-best 13 at San Diego (Dec. 11). Hit eight of nine field goal attempts for 17 points at Cal State Bakersfield and grabbed 10 boards for her first double-double. Added 17 points with seven-of-eight free throw attempts against Nevada (Nov. 30) with nine rebounds. Tallied 10 points and 10 rebounds to go with a season-high tying five assists in the Tigers'' win over Florida (Dec. 9). Against San Diego (Dec. 11), hit 10-of-17 field goals for 24 points and hauled in 13 rebounds for her second double-double. Turned in five-straight games with double-figure scoring, capped by 21 points against Long Beach State (Jan. 12). Ripped a career-best five steals against Cal State Northridge (Jan. 14). Hit the game-winning basket a fraction before the buzzer against Seattle (Jan. 17) in overtime. Connected on nine-of-14 field goals for 18 points against the Redhawks. Suffered an injury at UC Davis (Jan. 21) after 12 minutes of play and did not return until the Big West tournament. At UC Davis (Mar. 6) came off the bench for five minutes of action and prevented one turnover and forced another. While having zeros in her stat line, her return helped spark Pacific to win over Davis in the BWC Quarterfinals. Scored eight points, one eight-of-10 from the free throw line against UC Santa Barbara in the BWC Semifinals (Mar. 9). Tallied 14 points on five-of-five shooting with four rebounds and a pair of assists in Pacific''s win over Arizona State in the first round of the WNIT (Mar. 16). Tied her season-high against San Diego in the second round with a seven-of-10 shooting performance and 10-of-12 from the free throw line for 24 points. Also tied her career-high with five assists against the Toreros. Drove for a basket and got fouled 11 times and converted 17 ''and-one'' free throws, second in both categories on the team. The Tigers were +88 in point differential with Wakefield on the floor, highest amongst the team.

College of the Canyons (2008-10):
As a wing in 2009-10 Wakefield averaged a double-double with 18.6 points and 12.9 rebounds.Wakefield paced College of the Canyons with her 12.9 rebounds per game and her .587 field goal shooting percentage was also tops on the team. She also tallied 2.7 assists per game. Additionally, her field goal percentage and rebounds were tops among all players in the state of California.

For her efforts, Wakefield racked up numerous accolades. She was named the 2009-10 California State Community College Player of the Year as well as the most valuable player in the Western State Conference (WSC). Recognition did not stop there for Wakefield who was a three-time player of the week recipient in the Western State Conference, as well as the 2009 Orange Coast Classic Most Valuable Player. Ashley also shone in the 2009 Kiwanis-Ventura Tournament, finishing as a member of the All-Tournament Team.
 
In the two years the Cougars had Wakefield among their ranks, COC compiled an impressive 46-14 overall record highlighted by a perfect 24-0 in Western State Conference games. During her freshman and sophomore seasons, the Cougars claimed back-to-back” WSC titles. Wakefield’s talent was recognized early in her career as she was an All-Western State Conference First Team selection as a freshman and then closed out her junior college career in dominating fashion as the Cougar’s ninth All-Time leading scorer.

High School:
Named Second Team All-City as a senior at Washington Prep in Los Angeles.
