Biography

2016-17 (Junior):
Bernardo won two singles matches this year against USF and #43 Portland at the No. 6 spot.  He won both matches in straight sets.  Logged a 3-3 record in doubles, 3-2 in the WCC that included wins over USF with Alex Giannini, Gonzaga with Ross Watson and Saint Mary''s with Watson. 

2015-16 (Sophomore):
Won six singles matches on the year, and posted a 7-5 record in doubles. Posted a singles victory in the Tigers’ win over No. 17 Texas Tech (Jan. 16). Rallied for a marathon 4-6, 7-5, 1-0 (13-11) win in a match against Hawai’i (Feb. 4) and added a victory over Gonzaga in another long tie-breaker, 7-6 (11-9), 6-0, on Feb. 6. In doubles play, posted a 5-0 record when paired with Miguel Diaz and won two matches with Lance Ngo. Picked up a doubles win in the Tigers’ match with No. 17 Texas Tech (Jan. 15) and a win over No. 53 UC Davis (Jan. 27) while paired with Ngo. A West Coast Conference All-Academic Honorable Mention selection.


2014-15 (Freshman):
Bernardo completed his first year with a 7-12 record in singles competition and 8-6 in doubles competition.  Bernardo defeated WCC competitors play such as Gonzaga and No. 55 San Francisco. 

High School:
Bernardo joins the Tigers from the Weil Tennis Academy and College Preperatory School in Ojai, Calif. He played for coach Mohamed Badran.

Personal:
Bernardo is the son of Luciano and Maria Oliveira. He was born in Santa Catarina, Brazil.  He is majoring in Business Administartion at Pacific.
