Spring 2011 (Freshman): 
In his first season with the Tigers, Angus compiled a season record of 2-5 in singles and 6-9 in doubles. Some notable wins Angus earned included his victory against No. 68 University of San Francisco product Germain Bahri in three sets, 6-4, 3-6, 11-9; and also his victory against Sean Peterson of UC Riverside in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.

Personal:
Angus was born in Gosford, New South Wales, and was raised in Brisbane, Queensland. Angus was recognized as champion at his high school and was the No. 1 player on his team for singles and doubles. He also had an undefeated season in 2009. Angus is the son of Andrew and Patricia Thomson and has two older siblings, brother Charlie and sister Georgina. Angus is a business administration major and is currently undecided about his career goals. His hobby is listening to music.
