Biography

2014 (Freshman):
Josh Adachi was a West Coast Conference Honorable Mention selection as he led the conference in saves per game. The freshman posted an average of 5.41 saves per contest in 17 games and starts for the Tigers. Adachi faced a league-high 351 shots this season. He posted a career-high 11 saves at Gonzaga, holding the Bulldogs without a goal in regulation. Adachi turned in one clean-sheet, in the Tigers'' home opener, a 4-0 shutout win over UC Santa Cruz (Sept. 27). Turned away eight shots in the Tigers'' win at Cal Poly (Sept. 21), and added six saves in a win over Portland (Nov. 7). Made six saves against Saint Mary''s (Oct. 11) while only allowing a penalty kick goal.

High School/Club
Adachi was named Most Outstanding Player of the state tournament, as the goalkeeper led Iolani High School to the state championship. He had been a First Team All-Conference selection each of his last three seasons and a First Team All-State selection his last two years. His club team, the Honolulu Bulls Soccer Club, was a USYS Regional Semifinalist, a Surf Cup Semifinalist 96B and the US Club Regional Champions, as Adachi was named a Male Player of the Year Nominee.
