Darren Leslie

Darren Leslie has been added to the Pacific men’s soccer program in July 2021 as an assistant coach. 

Leslie joins the Tigers after five years at the helm of CSU San Bernardino. During his time with the Coyotes, the Scotland native guided the program to unprecedented heights, which included 14 All-CCAA selections, four All-Region honorees and the team's best season in their Division II era in 2019. That season, Leslie led the Coyotes to a 14-4-3 overall record and two postseason wins over Cal Poly Pomona and Colorado School of Mines. Climbing as high as number five in the nation, the program finished with their history ranking ever as freshman Frank Daroma also became the first-ever First Team All-American in program history. One year prior, Leslie was named CCAA Coach of the Year in 2018 as the Coyotes finished 12-6-1, with Danny Ortiz also earning CCAA Player of the Year honors. With a 44-24-6 overall record, Leslie is also the second winningest coach in CSUSB history.

With a wealth of experience under his belt, Leslie graduated from the University of Edinburgh and originally began his coaching career as an assistant coach at the College of Marin. In addition to these positions, he also serves as an assistant coach with the Academy teams of FC Golden State in the USSDA.
