Biography

2018 (Senior): 
Missed the first two games of the year through injury but appeared in every other game of the season and started in 15 games. Scored two goals on the season and assisted on two more for a total of six points on the season. Was tied for fourth on the team in goals and tied for seventh on the team in assists. Fourth on the team in points. Took 15 shots on the season, good for fifth on the team. Scored a goal in his first game of the season against #14 California. Also scored against San Francisco. Recorded his assists against UC Irvine and notched the assist on Anthony Orendain''s game-winner in the first round of the NCAA Tournament against UC Riverside. Took a season-high three shots in three games. His two goals tied his career-high for goals in a season. His 15 shots were a single-season career high. 

2017 (Junior): 
Played in 18 games and started in 16. Had nine points, tied for the fourth-most on the team thanks to two goals and five assists. Took 14 shots on the season, seven of which were on goal. Scored the game-winning goal against Grand Canyon on 9/10. Had a season-high three points against UNLV with a goal and an assist. Scored in back-to-back games against UNLV and Grand Canyon. Had two two-assist games, the first of which came against Cal State Bakersfield on 8/27, the second was on 10/18 against Santa Clara. 

2016 (Sophomore):
Appeared in 17 games for the Tigers, six of which were starts. Took seven shots on the year and logged his first collegiate goal in the 2-0 victory over Cal State Fullerton (Sep. 25) in the 52nd minute. 

2015 (Freshman):
Appeared in 12 games for the Tigers. In his inaugural season, Alcala posted four shots, including two against San Diego State (Sept. 27) as well as CSU Bakersfield (Oct. 4).

High School:
Alfredo Alcala is a native of Ontario, California, and attended Ontario High School. He was named Second Team All-League for the 2013 winter season in the Mt. Baldy League. Alcala also played with the Corinthians SC Club Team in Corona where he helped the team win the 2011 State Cup, Regionals, and Nationals.

Personal:
A native of Bellflower, Calif., Alfredo is the son of Alfredo Alcala and Rosa Tamayo. He has three sisters. Sisters Roxana and Valeria played varsity soccer at Ontario High. Roxana is also a member of the Army Reserve. Alcala is an electrical engineering major. Alfredo chose Pacific because he thought the coaches would push him to reach his potential.
