Biography
2015-16 (Junior):
After missing the first two months of the season, Sami made his season debut in WCC play against BYU on Jan. 2 and proceeded to play 16 games for Pacific on the year. In total, Sami averaged 2.5 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 0.63 blocks per contest. He would score a career-best 11 points at LMU on Jan. 9 in his third game back while grabbing six rebounds in Pacific''s first road win of the season. Defensively, the big center would block three shots in two different contests, both coming in contests against the Pepperdine Waves.
2014-15 (Sophomore):
Sami saw 23 games and 17 game starts for the Tigers of the 2014-15 season. Sami was out of play for a period of time due to injury, but returned to play against Portland on February 21 to help the Tigers defeat the Pilots in overtime. Sami averaged 3.6 points per game and 4.0 rebounds, and saw an average of 17.5 minutes per game. Sami has provided a defensive presence in the middle for the Tigers. He has a career-high five blocks at Idaho State on December 6. Eleraky had career-highs with eight points and 12 rebounds against Pacific Union. Sami equaled his career-high. He has two double figure rebounding games on the year.
Junior College:
Sami Eleraky is a 7-0 center from Aalborg, Denmark. He just finished his first and only year at the City College of San Francisco. He joins teammate Robinson with the Tigers. Sami averaged 6.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game in 2013-14, helping the Rams to a record of 29-2. He started 19 of his 29 appearances last year, leading the team with 53 blocks. He shot 47.6% from the field and led the team with 67 offensive rebounds. After redshirting his first year of college at Barton County Community College in Great Bend, Kansas, Sami will enter Pacific as a sophomore.
Personal:
Sami is the son of Hanaa Elhamamy and Erssa Eleraky. He has three brothers, Jonas, Adam, and Josef. He is currently majoring in global studies.
