2011-12:
Markus played in all 30 games for the Tigers, making 24 starts ... He was fourth on the team with 7.0 points per game and led the team with 55 three-pointers ... Duran had eight double-digit games on the season, scoring a career-high 23 points against Cal State Dominguez Hills on Nov. 21 ... Hitting a three-pointer in all but five games, Markus hit a career-best five treys on two occasions. 

Cabrillo College:
Duran emerged as a difference-maker in his sophomore year at Cabrillo College in Aptos, Calif., averaging 19.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game ... In addition to posting an 85% success rate from the free throw line, Markus led the league in shots from the arc and set the record for most three’s made in a season with 125 ... Duran was voted MVP of the Coast Conference South, becoming only the second player in Cabrillo College history to be awarded the prestigious honor ... As a freshman, Duran started out hot and helped lead the Seahawks to an 8-4 conference record ... Markus led the state in three-pointers during his impressive freshman campaign and earned second team All-Coast Conference honors during his first year at Cabrillo.

High School:
Duran graduated in 2009 from Murray High School in Murray, Utah ... In his four years at Murray, Markus earned several honors for his impressive play ... As a sophomore, he was recognized with an All-League Honorable Mention ... In both his junior and senior years, Markus was presented with First Team honors ... Duran led the First Team in scoring in both of his final seasons ... As a senior, Markus averaged 18.6 points per game and finished with 151 three-pointers in his career as a Spartan.  

Personal:
Markus was born and raised in Murray, Utah ... He is the son of Mark and Lynette Duran and has two sisters, Meghan and Mariah ... Duran is majoring in communication in his second year at Pacific ... In his free time, Markus enjoys surfing.
