Biography
2015-16 (Sophomore):
Forced into extensive action early with the loss of Pacific''s front line depth, Jacob played in all 28 games for the Tigers while starting the first 21 contests. He would average 21.3 minutes per game while posting 6.9 points and 4.8 rebounds. Jacob scored in double-figures in seven games including posting a career-best 14 points against BYU on Jan. 2. He just missed his first double-double against Cal State Fullerton when he scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds and again against Notre Dame de Namur with nine points and nine rebounds. He would come up just short two games later at Sacramento State when the sophomore posted 12 points and nine rebounds and again against Santa Clara when he posted nine and nine for a second time.
2014-15 (Freshman):
Lampkin saw 31 games for the Tigers during the 2014-15 season. Jacob had four points in his first career start against Loyola Marymount on January 31. Lampkin had a career-high 10 rebounds against Cal State East Bay on December 3, at Idaho State on December 6l and against Pepperdine on January 29. He had a career-high nine points and eight rebounds against Mercer on November 29. Lampkin scored six points in each of his first three games of the season, hitting nine out of 12 shots from the field. He has a career-high six rebound against UAA on November 26. Lampkin has three double figure rebounding games on the year.
High School:
Lampkin is a 6-9 forward/center from Bellevue, Washington. He comes to Pacific from O''Dea High School, earning All-Metro League honors in his sophomore and junior and senior seasons. He averaged 13.1 points, 11.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game as a senior. He also earned All-State Tourney First Team honors in 2013-14. He averaged 9.1 points and 9.0 rebounds per game as a sophomore and improved to 15.2 points and 10.0 rebounds per game as a junior. In 2012-13, he was named to the Palm Springs Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team and was named Most Outstanding Player by his teammates. Lampkin played AAU ball for the Emerald City Basketball Academy, with future Tiger teammate Kaleb Warner. He is ranked by ESPN Recruiting Nation as the 8th overall rated player and 2nd rated power forward in Washington, and the 95th rated power forward nationally.
Personal:
Jacob was born Dallas, Texas and is the son of David and Angie Lampkin. He has two brothers, Joe and Luke. His Uncle Tom Lampkin played Major League Baseball from 1988-2002. He is currently majoring in communications.
